The Okrah Foundation exists to break that barrier down. We raise funds, build networks, and provide mentorship to ensure that these students not only get in, but thrive, graduate, and return equipped to transform Africa.

The Founder’s Story

As a boy, I dreamed of flying—not with aeroplanes, but with wings, soaring through the sky. Later, I dreamed of going to Oxford, but people said it wasn’t for “people like us.” For years, I believed them.

In 2024, I proved them wrong with an offer to pursue an MSc in Law and Finance at Oxford. Had I attended, I would have been the first Ghanaian male to undertake the course.

Our Immediate Goal

Raising £75,000 for Immediate Impact

This inaugural campaign will support the foundation's founder, Kwasi Okrah, as the first beneficiary. His acceptance into the MSc in Law and Finance program at the University of Oxford is proof that dreams are attainable. Here’s how the funds will be used:

Tuition: £50,000
Living Expenses (1 Year): £18,000
Flight: £2,000
Visa & Miscellaneous: £2,000

What happens next?

Any funds raised beyond this target will kickstart scholarships for the next two students applying to the foundation in 2025.
